Show us your #HeartsforArt this Valentine’s Weekend

Does art make your heart sing?
Do the romantic paintings
Or portrait engravings
Bring you to swooning or fainting?

Is it love at first sight
With the chamber of wonder
The gold Viking plunder
Or is it the miniature knight?

Place hearts near the art
To say you adore it
During this Valentine’s day
(Oh, also the Thursday before it)

Come to the Walters on Thursday, February 11, 5-8:30 p.m., and on Sunday, Valentine’s Day, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., to declare your love for your favorite artwork. Drop a paper heart by your favorite piece. Feel free to write a love note, if you’re so inclined. Want to share your love online? Tag your photos with #heartsforart and we’ll share our favorite “couples” on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. We’ll also tally the works with the most hearts so stay tuned to see which ones are the most loved. See last year’s favorite objects here.

#HeartsForArt is an annual social media holiday started by Oakland Museum of California and Columbus Museum of Art. This year, the Walters Art Museum joins museums across the country to invite fans to “like” art in real life and then post it back on the digital realm.
